Vintage Furniture – Real or Fake? Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman
The Real McCoy – Eames Lounge (670) and Ottoman (671)
In this installment of “Real or Fake?” we will discuss the ever-popular and often imitated Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman, officially known as the Eames Lounge (670) and Ottoman (671). Designed by the remarkable and prolific husband and wife team of modernist architects and designers, Charles and Ray Eames in 1956, this chair was introduced to the public on NBC s morning show, the Arlene Francis Home Show (which later became The Today Show) and was an instant hit. (Do not miss the extraordinary 2-part video here.) It is been in constant production ever since by U.S. licensee Herman Miller of Zeeland Michigan and European licensee Vitra.

Tough enough as it is, I would like to share some pointers!
1. Website – How professionally is the site made? I am not discussing simply the looks! Is the site secure and checked? Do they acknowledge major Master cards or just Paypal? 1-800 number and live chat? Somebody answers you instantly by telephone or message when you contact them? These are all exceptionally paramount sentiment for myself when I search for a dependable online store.
2. Representation of Products – These items I discover to be exceptionally significant. Do the display pictures of their items look high-determination or extremely non specific and little in size? The clearer, greater, and more unique their portraits are, the more probable it was taken from their real stock rather than simply sticking in bland pictures. You can even go past this and request that they furnish you with unedited, unedited studio pictures of that thing you are intrigued by purchasing. When you read the item depiction and parts of their items, right something you have read some place else? Replicated and stuck insight typically means copy and paste! Any true blue merchant of size might have done their own studio pictures to showcase their items accordingly.

“I ordered a Le Corbusierchair LC2 Sofa black leather-3 seater six months back from Modecor and I am so happy the way it changed my living room. The sturdy stainless steel frame is durable and made the sofa more sophisticated in design. And the black Italian soft leather has turned it into fabulous piece! I really admire the detailed craftsmanship of this leather sofa. It is not far from the original Le Corbusier masterpiece!”
